Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Seton Catholic students load up donations to be delivered to Catholic Charities of Broome County.

The school started collecting a few weeks ago.

They gathered non perishable goods, gift cards, and money all totaling around $1,000.

Seton Catholic has been teaming up with Catholic charities for the last fifteen to twenty years.

Principal of Seton, Richard Bucci, said, "Community service is a big part of who we are and what we are about, so we really encourage participation, and we are very gratified that they responded in such a generous way, to this very important food drive."

This year, students were given specific examples of families in need to encourage donations.

Because of that, Bucci said they had nearly 100 percent participation.
