Johnson City, NY (WBNG Binghamton) The day before Thanksgiving may be the busiest travel day of the year, but the day after Thanksgiving there are still many travelers -- heading to the stores for deep discounts.
It's like running a marathon for folks who were out early at the stores on Black Friday.
"We've been to Express, Old Navy, JCPenney, Macy's, the Bon Ton, American Eagle," said Cara Cawley of Endwell.
And whoever comes in first gets the best deal.
The prize is measured by how much you got, and how little you had to pay for it.
"40 percent off at Express, and I got a shirt from $15 dollars down to about $4 dollars," said Jenna Fetterman of Endwell.
"Sales are great!" said Jesseilee Portelli of Norwich. "We stopped at Walmart first at midnight, and then we came down here and went to Denny's for breakfast, and then came here," says Portelli.
"I was in JCPenney's a couple of minutes ago, and there were 25 people waiting in one of the lines at the check out, and all of them were pretty well arms full of items," says Oakdale Mall's Nancy Phillips. "I guess the expression is 'scooping up the values!'" said Phillips.
