Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Organizers of the annual UHS Warehouse say the event got off to a great start this year.
Supervisor of Support Services Terry Brown said he was greeted by a long line of shoppers early Saturday morning.
Available for sale were dressers, shelves, desks, chairs and exercise equipment to name a few.
Up until the end of the sale, Brown said customers were in and out.
He attributed the success to the low price tags.
"They can't believe the rate, the price on it," Brown said. "I mean everything is a set price, tax included, and whatever we make off the sale goes right to the UHS Foundation."
Brown said the sales typically raise between $1,000 and $2,000.
He hopes to have a sale once a month this year; especially because he said furniture is donated to him nearly everyday.
