Conklin, NY (WBNG Binghamton) The small town of Conklin has held its fair for the past 34 years and every year it grows.
For many of those who attend, it is all about the experience with friends and family but for others it's about knowing the people who attend are helping out Conklin as a whole.
"I think the best part is that there are things for everybody. There are things for kids, there are things for adults, there are just things for everybody, It's not just one person. I think that having people come here, meeting people, having everybody come from all over I think really boosts the community spirit and Conklin," said Jevin Fluegel, of Endicott.
Others said the parade is another part of the event that many love to watch as well because Conklin has a great reputation of honoring its veterans.
"It's the community and they have such a respect for the veterans that they make them feel special and they are special. That's one thing that the Conklin fair does very well," said Jennifer Whitcombe-Jones, owner, Jimmy J's Avian Rescue Center.
The fair will continue through July 19.
