Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) SUNY Students get a first-hand look at where they could be living next fall semester.

Twin River Commons is showing off model apartments in its new downtown location in Binghamton.

For the first time, students and the community were invited to take a look at what Twin River Commons will offer.

The project is still under construction, but the apartments will be fully furnished and ready to welcome students next fall.

Model apartments include individual bathrooms, designer kitchens, full size washer dryers and high speed internet.

The facility will offer a fitness center, multi-media room, cafe, computer commons, study lounges, free tanning and a private courtyard.

"A new kitchen is something that's really important to me. I like to cook, so that's where I spend most of my time, not in my bedroom by myself," said Binghamton University student Jeremiah Deboever.

"Yeah, it's a congregation area, so it's important to have it look nice," said Binghamton University student Russell Drake.

Twin River Commons will house 371 residents in 127 apartments.

It is continuing to welcome students to sign up.
