Ithaca, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Bagpipes, kilts and even sheep took over Ithaca's Stewart Park on Saturday.

All weekend, the Ithaca Scottish Games and Celtic Festival will be celebrating Scottish culture.

Some of the most popular events include the athletic competitions.

"The Buffalo Heavies is a group of primarily masters athletes over the age of 40," said Ian Grassie. "There are some younger guys that do some traditional Scottish athletics at these festivals and try to put on a good show for the crowd ... the caber ... and everyone's favorite, the telephone pole."

Live music and sheep shearing demonstrations also drew large crowds.

The festival continues Sunday from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.
