Sheshequin Township, PA (WBNG Binghamton) The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation closed a section of Sheshequin Road in Bradford County because a landslide is approaching the roadway.

PennDOT is taking precautions until it can further evaluate the area.

The slide has taken part of a retaining wall and the roadway shoulder to the edge of the pavement.

The slide is located along the southbound lane approximately one mile north of the intersection with Ridge Road in Sheshequin Township. It is just north of the pull-off overlooking Tioga Point.

Traffic will be detoured around the Sheshequin Narrows using Route 1052 or Ridge Road and Route 1054 or Orange Hill Road.
