Town of Maine, NY (WBNG Binghamton) An airman from Owego returned home just in time for the holidays. Kyle Terry is in the U.S. Air Force and was stationed for nine months in eastern Afghanistan.

He was greeted by one of his best friends and his Rottweiler dog named Junior when he got off the plane at the Greater Binghamton Airport Monday morning.

This was Terry's second deployment overseas. He said when he was deployed the first time he missed out on the holidays back home with his family.

"I don't think people understand how difficult it is for people over there during the holidays," Terry said, "I'm just very glad, it was a long trip but I'm just very glad I can be home for Thanksgiving and Christmas."

Terry says he's happy to be back home with his family and to enjoy some of the little things he missed the most.

"Coming back and hearing all this new music you've been missing for nine months," Terry said, "The little things, good milk, good food, and that's about it."
