(WBNG Binghamton) The Southern Tier went through quite the storm Sunday evening.

Torrential rain and gusts of wind knocked down trees taking power lines with them.

It took the storm a few hours to clear its way from west to east.

Flash flooding stranded some vehicles.

An SUV was stuck in water under a bridge on Emma Street in Binghamton with water rising above the hood.

The man driving the SUV tried to back out when he realized it was too deep, but the water pushed the vehicle back in.

Also in Binghamton on Glenwood Avenue, a cab was stuck in the water under a bridge.

The cab company waited for a tow out of the water.

No injuries were reported in both cases.
