Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) The City of Binghamton outlines where groups can demonstrate when the EPA holds hearings on natural gas drilling on September 13 and 15, 2010.
The EPA is studying the drilling process hydraulic fracturing.
Hearings will be held at the Forum Theater in Binghamton.
Groups and individuals who do not support hydro-fracking can meet on Henry Street, in front of the federal building. They can also meet on the southern end of Washington Street, between Henry and East Clinton Streets.
Groups and individuals who support allowing the gas drilling process can assemble on the northern end of Washington Street. That's also between Henry and East Clinton Streets.
The city says grounds between the staging areas will be designated as neutral.
There will also be street closures.
Henry Street from State Street to Washington Street and Washington Street from Henry to East Clinton Street will be closed from 7:00 am until 11:00 pm on the days of the EPA hearings.
