Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) The city of Binghamton recognized Security Mutual Week by raising the company's flag outside City Hall.

On Monday morning, city leaders joined representatives from Security Mutual to kick off Security Mutual Week.

This week, Security Mutual is hosting its annual seminar in Binghamton.

More than 200 of Security Mutual's insurance advisers are attending the three-day event.

"It's an educational conference where we bring in our top sales associates from across the country," said Bruce Boyea, CEO of Security Mutual. "Part to give an economic boost to the community and also to showcase the great things that are happening right here in the home office at Security Mutual."

Security Mutual has been in Binghamton for 127 years in November.

Every year, it organizes the Jim "Mudcat" Grant All-Star Golf tournament, which was held in August.
