Action News spoke with Kuhr just two months ago for our flood special.

The New York Times, citing an unidentified administration official, says Kuhr was let go when he allegedly told Suffolk County emergency workers to clear a tree from his driveway in the midst of Superstorm Sandy.

Kuhr was brought in just last year to lead a new future of preparedness in New York.
