State of Emergency lifted

Hancock, NY (WBNG Binghamton) The state of emergency declared in Delaware County's Town of Hancock has been lifted as of noon Thursday.

Several roads remain closed including Houck Mountain, Burnwood, Emminence and Neer Hill.

If needed, emergency vehicles can access the roads, according to Samuel Rowe Jr., the Town Supervisor.

The roads will be opened once repairs are completed.

The town initially issued the emergency shortly after 10 p.m. Wednesday due to flooding.
