Town of Dickinson (WBNG Binghamton) In honor of Scleroderma Awareness Month, more than 200 people participated in a annual walk to raise money for the cause.

This was the 12th annual 'Steppping Out to Cure Scleroderma Walk'.

It was held by the Scleroderma Association, Tri-state chapter.

Coordinators said the event is a fundraiser, but that's not the only
reason they hold it every year.

"Understanding who other people are, who might have the disease. Those are equally as important," said Jay Peak, a coordinator of the event.

Money raised will go toward research and awareness for the disease.
