(WBNG Binghamton) A Vestal woman and former Express Mart store clerk was arrested after officials said surveillance video showed her stealing from a Muscylar Dystrophy Association fundraiser, according to the Broome County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies said the store manager of the Express Mart where she worked was taking part in the MDA Lock-up fundraiser, in which the participant is "locked up" until enough "bail money" is donated to set them free.

But when $70 in donations ended up missing, deputies said the manager checked the surveillance footage and found Carangelo took money on three separate occasions.

She was fired from the Express Mart and arrested for three counts of petty larceny.

She is scheduled to appear in the Town of Union Court at a later date.
