(WBNG Binghamton) In the race for Town of Union Supervisor, it was just a few hundred of votes separate the two candidates.

Deputy Supervisor Rose Sotak (R) says it's back to work in the Town after the election.

Sotak won a close race only betting her competition, Jack Cheevers (D) 51 percent to 49 percent.

"We're going to keep working on the budget. We're going to look at what we're going to be doing with that $10.1 million grant and getting that paperwork signed for the 175 residents that need their buyout. We're going to keep moving forward," said Sotak.

Sotak watched the results of the election Tuesday night at the Holiday Inn Arena with family and friends from the Town of Union.
