(WBNG Binghamton) New developments in the shooting death of a former Chenango County principal.
Investigators say they have the suspect in custody.
According to affiliate WIVB, U.S. Marshals announced Friday night they have taken Anthony Robert Taglianetti into custody in his home state of Virginia.
He's the man the Chautauqua County Sheriff says murdered Clymer School Superintendent Keith Reed Jr
The 51-year-old Reed served as principal of the Sherburne-Earlville High School for four years before moving to Western New York.
Authorities have yet to say what caused the shooting, but Taglianetti's neighbors tell WJLA-TV in Washington there was a, quote, "love connection" between Reed and Taglianetti's wife.
The U.S. Marshal's Office will turn Taglianetti over to NY law enforcement.
