SWAT team executes 'high risk' search warrant

Endicott, NY (WBNG Binghamton) An Endicott man was arrested after a "high risk" search warrant executed at his home revealed narcotics, weapons and cash.

The Broome County Special Investigations Unit Task Force initiated the investigation. Early Friday morning, the Broome-Endicott SWAT Team carried out a search warrant at an apartment located at 1803 Monroe St. in Endicott.

Daniel Jackson, 44, was found to be in possession of 207 glassine bags containing heroin, a stolen .25-caliber Taurus handgun, several pills of Kadian and approximately $1,800 of suspected drug money.

Jackson was taken to the Broome County Jail.

His charges include:

- Criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree, a class B felony
- Criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, a class A misdemeanor
- Criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree, a class D felony
- Criminal possession of stolen property in the fourth degree, a class E felony

The Special Investigations Unit Task Force was also assisted by a Broome County Sheriff’s Office Highway Patrol K-9 unit during the search.
