Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Jacob Dyson is 15, but he has already had 14 surgeries, as a result of cerebral palsy.

But one thing that keeps a smile on his face -- The New York Yankees.

And on August 14, he will be meeting his heroes.

The opportunity all came together when the executive director of The Magic Paintbrush Project, Jennifer O'Brien, saw that her friend was looking for tickets through Facebook.

O'Brien headed straight to the source, and the Yankees said "yes."

More than just "yes," actually. Jacob will be getting a special welcome right on the field, and get to practice with the team before the game starts.

"I'm really excited for batting practice because I'll be able to be out there on the field with all of my heroes, play with the Yankees," said Jacob. "It's just a dream come true for me."

His mom is very excited too.

"That is all he has talked about since I told him there was a possibility," said Jan Dyson. "He said mom, I'm not going to be able to sleep until the game, and I don't think I'll be able to sleep after. So everyday we count down the days. Six days, five days... "

The fun starts right away on August 14. Jacob and his family will be heading to the game in a limo.
