Johnson City, NY (WBNG Binghamton) The Catholic Charities of Broome County is working to raise money at its annual Harvest for Hunger Phone-A-Thon.

According to Catholic Charities, nearly one in eight people wonder where their next meal is coming from and depend on the food pantry.

Last year the food pantry served more than 800,000 meals from both its Binghamton and Endicott locations.

One $25 donation can feed one person for an entire week, and a donation of $100 will feed a family for a week.

People can call 797-4911 Thursday during the hours of 5 and 6:30 to take the pledge to donate.
