Teen arrested for stabbing in Binghamton

Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) A teenager was charged with assault for a stabbing that happened Monday night.

Ozzy D. Kipp, 16, of Binghamton was charged with assault in the first degree, according to the Binghamton Police Department.

Around 9 p.m. on Wednesday, June 25, James Silva, 21, walked into an area hospital with stab wounds to his shoulder and chest area.

Police said Silva was involved in a fight that took place in the area of Oak and Elm streets.

After an investigation, Kipp was taken into custody at a home on Oak Street.

He is being held in police lock-up until he will be arraigned in City Court.

As of 8 a.m. Thursday, Silva was still in the hospital for his injuries.
