Teens Arrested in Gang Assault

Cortland, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Three Dryden teens face felony gang assault charges in connection with the assault of a SUNY Cortland student.

Wayne Harris and Richard Reneck both 19 along with Malik Abdur-Rasheed, 18, allegedly attacked an 18-year-old male on Friday night in a Groton Avenue parking lot.

Cortland Police received a report of a man unconscious and bleeding from his face. Following a brief investigation the three suspects were found in the surrounding area.

The suspects were arraigned in Cortland City Court and are being held at the Cortland County Jail on $10,000 cash bail or $25,000 bond.

The victim sustained facial injuries, and is now at Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse where he is in stable condition.

Charges For All Three:
- Gang Assault, First Degree, Class B Felony
- Assault, Second Degree, Class D Felony
