Ten agencies respond to late-morning trailer fire

Town of Fenton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) A late-morning fire ripped through a trailer on Palmer Hill Road, causing 10 agencies to respond Monday.

Crews were dispatched just after 11 a.m. for smoke exiting the roof of a one-story trailer at 62 Palmer Hill Road.

The home took on severe damage.

According to Assistant Port Crane Fire Chief Kevin Kresge, no one was injured, and an elderly woman living in the home made it out safely.

Port Crane, Chenango, Chenango Forks, Chenango Bridge, Choconut Center, Sanitaria Springs, Harpursville fire departments all responded.

State Police, Broome County deputies and Broome County fire investigators were also on scene.

The cause of the blaze is still under investigation.
