Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) It was an early Thanksgiving at the Boys and Girls club where the Binghamton Senators joined many local kids in celebrating.

Head Coach Luke Richardson, Forward Pat Cannone and defenseman Chris Wideman served up food before finding their places at the table.

For these B-Sens, they say taking some time out of their busy schedules is the least they could do.

"It feels great but obviously the community is great to us, so we want to give back to them," said Richardson.

Organizers at the Boys and Girls Club said the B-Sens are setting an example many others should follow.

"I think a lot more people and pro athletes should do more community stuff and look at what the little ones are doing and help out," said Youth Leader Benaleo Daniels.

Daniels said the event is also a great way for local kids to make new friends.
