Ithaca, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Three Cornell University fraternities face suspension following reported hazing, according to the school newspaper "The Chronicle."

The fraternity, Chi Psi has been placed on suspended status by the national headquarters of the fraternity after credible reports of serious hazing.

Chi Psi must have all chapter activities approved by the national organization and Cornell's Office of Fraternities, Sororities and Independent Living, according to the newspaper.

Both Sigma Nu and Delta Phi have been placed on interim suspension status following credible allegations of serious physical hazing. Both chapters cannot engage in any activities other than operation of their residence homes, according to the newspaper.

The fraternities will be on interim suspension until all the allegations are resolved.
