Three arrested, three wanted by police for armed robbery

Cortland, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Three people are in custody and police are searching for three more accused of armed robbery.

Cortland City Police responded to a home robbery at 24 Water St. around 10:20 p.m. Tuesday.

Police said five victims were in the home during the robbery. No one was injured.

According to police, six men entered the home unannounced. Two of them were armed.

The two armed men kept the victims captive while the other four ransacked the home looking for items to steal, said police.

Police also said the men took an undisclosed amount of cash, a small amount of marijuana, a pellet pistol, a fire safe and two cell phones.

Police found one of the suspects in the area shortly after the robbery.

A second suspect was arrested at his home around 3:00 a.m. Wednesday. A third suspect was arrested just after 9:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Currently in custody:

- Nathaniel Wright, 20, of 2 Hubbard St.
- Robert Wade, 24, of 46 Homer Ave.
- Bryshawn Lewis, 16, of 32 Lincoln Ave.

Actively being sought by police:

- Quadir Artiste, 18, of 17 Elwood Ave.
- Bayshawn Barlow, 24, of 12 Hubbard St.
- Shyquane Pittman, 20, of 32 Lincoln Ave.

Police said the charges pending could include robbery, burglary, criminal possession of a weapon, menacing and conspiracy.
