Sayre, PA (WBNG Binghamton) They make the sweetest gift of all. A family-owned chocolate shop in Sayre is working nonstop this holiday season to fill orders from all over the world.

Lambert Chocolatier has been in business since April 1978. This is their 34th season.

"This year, we're shipping to nearly 400 companies and over 35 states. We have shipments to India, London, England and Canada," said Hal Lambert, Owner.

Lambert says they are shipping chocolates to fourteen international locations total this year including Singapore. They do a big business of corporate gifts and ship them via FedEx.

They've been planning the holiday season since September and making chocolate non-stop. Everything is handmade in the store.

In their downtown gift shop, they have everything from white chocolate to dark chocolate to Kona coffee chocolate to nonpareils to chocolate with fruit. If you are looking for a gift basket or just a sweet treat for dessert, Lambert says there's a chocolate for everyone.

He says their signature items are the Truffles and Turtles. They have thousands of molds of different chocolate shapes including Santa's that range in size from 2 feet to a few inches tall.

"We enjoy it. After 34 years, we're into the third generation of customers. People come in and share the personal stories about what's going on in their lives. It's like having a bunch of friends," said Lambert, whose wife also works there.

The business originally opened up as Hal's Hot Dog Stand. It is located at 218 Desmond Street.

Lambert Chocolatier is open seven days a week during the holiday season from December 1 until Easter from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.
