(WBNG Binghamton) The National Weather Service confirms a tornado touched down in Bainbridge, New York, at approximately 8 p.m. Friday.

The NWS found a convergent swirling and splattering pattern, which is indicative of a tornado.

The organization sent out a team to survey some of the damage Saturday.

Most reports were limited to snapped trees and downed power lines, but viewer pictures show there was also some home damage.

No injuries were reported in central New York or Northeast Pennsylvania.
