Town of Union (WBNG Binghamton) Traditions at the Glen donated a check for $9,000 to the Dr. Garabed A. Fattal Community Free Clinic Wednesday afternoon. The donation is a result of Tradition's second annual Wine and Pizza Tasting Fundraiser held back in September.

The clinic provides healthcare and prescription medication to members of the community who don't have health insurance. This donation helps to continue the work Dr. Fattal started 15 years ago.

Administrator for the clinic, Lenore Boris, said, "We're just overwhelmed by the outpouring of support from the community since Dr. Fattal passed. I know he was quite concerned about what would happen to the Free Clinic once he was no longer involved and he would really be thrilled to know that it continues."

The donation will be spent on a new EKG machine, blood pressure monitors and other medical supplies.
