Trio found with stolen property in car

Town of Chenango, NY (WBNG Binghamton) The Broome County Sheriff's Office has made three arrests for stolen property in an area where a string of car larcenies have been reported.

Deputies said it all came after a concerned citizen reported a suspicious vehicle traveling around the Chenango Bridge area.

Damian J. Wilmarth, 18, of Chenango Forks, Zeke D. Wilmarth, 24, of Binghamton and James Wilson, 16, of Port Crane, were all found with a number of stolen items, including several long guns, ammunition, two laptop computers, prescription medication, money and jewelry.

Deputies said Damian Wilmarth fled on foot, but was captured shortly after.

All three were arraigned in Chenango Town Court and taken to the Broome County Jail.
