Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) The four-booth and seven-counter seat diner inside the Greater Binghamton Transportation Center is open for lease.

Broome County officials are currently looking for someone to open a food service business in place of the Twilight Diner.

The county opened the diner last May when they realized there was a need to feed travelers. They say it's worked well since opening, and officials says they want it to stick around.

"Keeping the diner open is important because this is a beautiful facility," Deputy County Executive John Bernardo said. "It's right in the heart of Binghamton, and you certainly want an alternative when people are passing through, whether it be for long term bus trips, or our local people."

Bernardo said they have already seen a good deal of interest.

Proposals are due by Feb. 13.
