New Albany, PA (WBNG Binghamton) Pennsylvania State Police are investigating a complaint that an unsupervised year-and-a-half-old child found prescription medicine and put one pill in her mouth.
It happened in a New Albany home in June.
The child found the pills in a bedroom.
A parent found the child, removed the pill from her mouth and took her to a local hospital.
It was determined based on a toxicology report that the child did not ingest any medication.
Charges were filed last week against Robert Muzzy, 33, and Amber Muzzy, 24, for endangering the welfare of a child.
Both defendants will receive summons from district court to answer to the charges.
