Two Dead After Rollover on I-81

Tiny debris cluttered the turn at mile 218.8 on I-81 Southbound where a car rolled over killing two of the five passengers.

Harford, PA (WBNG Binghamton) Two people are dead after their car rolled over while traveling south on Interstate 81 early Sunday morning, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

Five people, all from New Jersey, were in the car when it veered right into a steep embankment rolling over several times according to police reports.

Troopers said the driver, Richard Montano, 21, and passenger Julius Ignacio, 22, were thrown from the vehicle and killed.

The other three passengers, Ian Oliveira, Michael Piazza, and Nathaniel Fernado, all 20-years-old, survived the crash according to police.

Police have not released the conditions of the three surviving men or if they were sent to a hospital.

Investigators have not released a cause for the accident. They have not said whether or not speed or alcohol was a factor.
