Two Local School Districts Awarded STLE Grants

Albany, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Two Broome County School Districts are awarded Strengthening Teacher and Leader Effectiveness grants.

Binghamton City School and Union-Endicott Central School Districts made the list of 17 public districts and charter schools in New York State who applied for the STLE grant program.

The STLE grants are targeted to support the schools utilizing the Annual Professional Performance Review plans.

Only public districts and charter schools with at least 25 perfect of students from low-income families were eligible to applied.

The State Department of Education anticipates awarding over $58-million over the next two years.
