(WBNG Binghamton) A two alarm fire at 921 Castle Creek Road sends multiple crews to the town of Chenango.

Crews responded to the scene just after 11:30 p.m. Thursday for a two-story home with a fire on its second floor.

When Action News arrived at 921 Castle Creek Road around midnight, most of the fire was out, but heavy smoke hung over the home as it exited through the roof and open windows. The fire appeared to be contained to one room, and an upstairs window was heavily charred.

The crews that responded to the scene included Chenango Fire, Choconut Center, Port Dickinson, Chenango Bridge and the Broome County Sheriff's Office.

A woman was escorted to a waiting ambulance, but it's not known whether she was injured, or whether she required hospitalization.
