Police release name of second driver killed in double fatal

Town of Oxford, NY (WBNG Binghamton) New York State Police are investigating a two car crash that killed both drivers.

The crash happened around 1:45 a.m. Sunday in the Town of Oxford, according to state police.

Police said a 2000 Ford Focus traveling east on County Route 35 crossed over into the opposite lane and hit a 2002 Dodge Caravan.

David C. Clark, 48, Oxford, was driving the Dodge Caravan and Brandy Smith, 15, of Bainbridge was behind the wheel of the Focus.

Smith was pronounced dead at the scene and Clark was taken to Chenango Memorial Hospital where he died from his injuries.

Police said there were six passengers in the Dodge Caravan, and one passenger in the Ford Focus.

All seven were taken to the hospital and are being treated for their injuries.

The crash is still under investigation.
