Police: Man who caused double-fatal crash was drunk

Wells Township, PA (WBNG Binghamton) A Lawrenceville, Pa., man was charged with DUI in a double-fatal car crash in March.

On Sept. 6, state police completed the investigation into the crash.

Roegester Grays, 45, was found to be under the influence of alcohol and had a small amount of a controlled substance at the time of the crash.

Grays is in Bradford County Jail on $500,000 bail.

According to Pennsylvania State Police, Grays was intoxicated when he struck a 2012 Chevrolet Suburban head-on while traveling on State Route 3028 in Bradford County on March 1.

The driver and a passenger of the Suburban, Ryan English, 35, and Karen English, 32, were pronounced dead at the scene.

There were three children in the Suburban.

The children and Grays were transported to Arnot-Ogden Hospital in Elmira.

Charges:

Aggravated assault, two counts
Homicide by vehicle while DUI, two counts
Aggravated assault by vehicle while DUI, two counts
Homicide by vehicle, two counts
Driving under the influence of alcohol and/or controlled substance
Possession of a small amount of controlled substance
