UPDATE: Body Found Inside Vehicle in Grocery Store Parking Lot Identified

(WBNG Binghamton) Elmira police said Tuesday they have identified the body that was found Sunday inside a vehicle in the parking lot of  the Tops Friendly Market in Elmira.

According to a news release from the Elmira Police Department:

The male found deceased in a parked car in the parking lot of Top’s Market, S. Main St on Sunday January 20, was identified as Joel E. States, 33, of Corning.

The cause of death is still under investigation and pending the autopsy results.  Anyone with information about this case is asked to call the Elmira Police Department at (607) 737-5626.
