New Berlin, NY (WBNG Binghamton) One of the biggest motocross races of the season will be kicking up dirt this weekend.

The Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship makes a local stop for the Red Bull Unadilla National this weekend in New Berlin.

Media day was held Thursday.

Competitors are showing up in droves from all across the country. Teams started arriving at the track Thursday, unloading and working on their bikes and equipment.

Greg Robinson, President of Unadilla Valley Sports Center, talked to Action News about what fans can experience at the track.

"Just imagine sitting in your house in the bed in the morning and a motorcycle jumps over your house. We literally have a jump here that riders jump over a hundred feet and they're over 35 feet in the air, so they could jump a two-story house with no problem," said Robinson.

Amateurs will be racing at the track on Friday and Sunday. The professionals will be racing all day Saturday. Nearly 25,000 spectators are expected throughout the weekend.
