Town of Owego, NY (WBNG Binghamton) An LPGA legend makes a local stop to highlight women's health issues.

Nancy Lopez was at the Links at Hiawatha Landing Monday to talk with hundreds of local women.

This was part of the UHS Pearls of Wisdom exhibition, which highlights major health issues for women and what can be done about them.

Lopez travels across the nation with the LPGA Legends Tour and uses it as a platform to bring attention to many diseases and health topics.

She fears that women often focus so much on their families, they don't take the time to examine their own health.

"We're important, and if we don't take care of ourselves, we're not going to be around to take care of our family. So always remember that," Lopez said.

Lopez also gave the women pointers on how to improve their golf games.
