Vestal Neighbors May Wait Longer To Re-Enter

Hundreds of neighbors came out to the old Vestal School for an update from town leaders Saturday afternoon.

Two particularly hard hit areas of Vestal are the Castle Gardens and Twin Orchards area.

So many people showed up that the meeting had to be moved to the stadium at the Vestal High School.

Town Supervisor Pete Andreasen is right there with the folks in his Town trying to get through the flood waters in his own home.

"We're missing electric power, we're missing water, we've got some water problems, and we're not going to be able to get in in a day or two, some people are probably going to have to wait quite a bit longer," he says.

Andreasen says the Town is hopeful that code enforcement crews can get back into Twin Orchards within the next two days and along Front Street and make sure conditions are safe once the water comes down.
