Where to go for Veterans Day ceremonies

(WBNG Binghamton) If you are looking for ways to honor veterans on Monday, there are several parades and ceremonies happening in the Greater Binghamton area.

In the Town of Dickinson, SUNY Broome will host a commemoration at 10 a.m. at the Veterans Monument. The event is open to the public.

In Owego, a ceremony is scheduled to take place at the Tioga County Veterans Memorial at 11 a.m. The color guard will render honors and people will place wreaths for fallen heroes.

In Oxford, people are expected to gather at Fort Hill Legion Post 376 at 11 a.m. There will be a ceremony, taps, and a light luncheon.

In Vestal, there will be a panel discussion and keynote address at Binghamton University at 12:15 p.m. The discussion will focus on the role of modern military and take place in the Mandela Room.

In Binghamton, the Veterans Day Parade will step off at 2 p.m. at the American Legion Post 80.

In Greene, the annual Veterans Evening Service at the Congregational Church will take place at 7 p.m.
