Ithaca, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Ithaca Police continue investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a Cornell University student.

The body of 19-year old Khalil King was found in Fall Creek Gorge on August 29.

Ithaca Police say the death appears to be accidental in nature.

They are waiting a final report from the medical examiner at Lourdes Hospital in Binghamton.

King and a friend were walking along a trail in Ithaca around 3am last Saturday morning when King saw something that alarmed him and ran off.

His body was found the next day in a deep pool of water east of the Stewart Avenue Bridge.

King was a sophomore at Cornell.
