(WBNG Binghamton) As the heavy rain continues to pound the Twin Tiers, crews had shut down two roads as of just after midnight Friday, one in Broome County and the other in Chenango County.
Prentice Street in the city of Norwich was closed due to flooding, according to the Chenango County Sheriff's Office.
In Broome County, the water had created a smal mudslide off Prospect Street near Mygatt Street. Officials said the street was impassable, and would be closed until further notice.
The sheriff's office said no other streets were closed as of midnight, but Nanticoke Avenue at the Cider Mill underpass was collecting water and Loder Avenue by the Pizza Hut had water on the street.
The sheriff's office warns drivers, especially in the village of Endicott, to keep a close eye on the road and don't try to drive through flooded streets.
