Waverly woman charged with setting husband on fire

Waverly, NY (WBNG Binghamton) A Waverly woman is arrested after allegedly setting her husband on fire.

Waverly police said Angeleen Buiniskis, 30, poured butane on her husband and then lit him on fire during a recent domestic incident.

He was treated at Robert Packer Hospital for second degree burns.

Police said Buiniskis fled the residence, but was picked up by Pennsylvania State Police.

She is charged with assault in the first degree, endangering the welfare of a child, arson in the fifth degree and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

She is being held in the Bradford County Jail and will be extradited back to New York state at a later date.
