Harpursville, NY (WBNG Binghamton) A rare mixed animal makes it's premiere at Animal Adventure.

His name is Zach the zorse.

Zach's father is a zebra and his mother is a horse. He took on the horse's chestnut color, but has stripes, a spiked mane and a thin tail like a zebra.

Unlike a horse, zorses make a barking laugh like a zebra; although it actually sounds more like a pig.

"This is a Dr. Suess animal," said Animal Adventure owner Jordan Patch. "This is something made up of different things. It's fun, it lets your imagination run wild."

Patch says he believes this is the only zorse in New York.

Zach will soon start halter and lead training in the hopes that patrons will be able to ride him in the future.

The zorse was born in June and is from Broome County.
