Town of Dickinson, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Dave Pessagno, the organizer of Spiedie Fest, joined Action News for a live interview of what to expect at this year's Spiedie Fest, as well as parking information.

The Spiedie Fest is August 1-3 at Otsiningo Park. It will open open Friday at 3 p.m. with the opening ceremony at 6 p.m.

Fireworks will be held at 9 p.m. on Friday.

On Thursday morning, local leaders held a press conference to discuss the plans for the weekend.

Since this is the 30th year of the Spiedie Fest, local leaders said they want to make this one memorable. There will be new activities, vendors and plans this year.

Passango said after organizing the event for all 30 years, it is still amazing to see how many people come out to support it.

"To watch it go from 4,000 people to 100,000 people, I think it has been great for the entire community," said Passagno.

The park will open on Saturday and Sunday at 5:30 a.m.
