Woman arrested for DWI under Leandra's Law

Walton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) New York State Police arrested a woman for driving drunk with a child in the car.

On June 11, Dawn Otte, 31, of Walton was arrested for aggravated driving while intoxicated, a felony under Leandra’s Law.

Troopers said they saw Otte walk in to the Delaware Valley Hospital after driving herself there. According to troopers, she was intoxicated.

State Police said Otte had also dropped off a child, less than 16 years old, before arriving at the hospital.

Otte was arraigned in the Village of Walton Court and then released without bail required.
