Woman faces felony charges after stealing from employer

Vestal, NY (WBNG Binghamton) A former manager of a Vestal jewelry store is accused of stealing more than $25,000 worth of merchandise.

Lynn Orlando, 48, of Endicott, faces one charge grand larceny, forgery, identity theft, falsifying business records, and criminal possession of stolen property. All are felony charges.

Orlando was a manager at Comfort Gift's and Engravings in Vestal.

Court documents say between February 2012 and January of 2014 Orlando was involved in stealing jewelry from the business, took money from the business safe, and used her employers credit card to make purchases.

The store owner told Action News Orlando stole more than $25,000 worth of goods and money. The owner added he thought of Orlando as family, and wants to warn other business owners to be careful.

Orlando was arraigned in the Town of Vestal Court on May 1.
