Woman charged with setting wild fire

Wellsboro, PA (WBNG Binghamton) A woman is being charged with numerous criminal counts after police say she intentionally set a wild fire.

Police say Brenda Mattis, 39, set the fire April 8 at an open field at 1341 Catlin Hollow Rd., in Wellsboro, Pa.

The field, owned by John Burdette Fuller, Jr., is approximately four acres.

Both the Wellsboro Borough and Middlebury Township fire departments had to control the fire.

Mattis is being charged with numerous criminal counts.
